Sister M. Anita, 76, of Holy Family Convent died Sunday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she was a patient three weeks. Funeral services will be at 9 am Wednesday at the convent chapel, the Rev. Ronald Kirk O.Praem, officiating and burial will be in the convent cemetery.
Sister Anita was Julitta Westphal and was born May 27, 1893 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Henry and Anna Stephany Westphal. She entered the convent in May, 1913 and professed her vows in July, 1916. She had her master's degree from Marquette and had taught at Oconto Falls, Sturgeon Bay and St. Joseph, Alverno before retiring.
She is survived by a brother, Henry of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Van Weedle of Appleton, Mrs. Gertrude Shimek of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Mrs. Evangeline Lodl of Black River Falls, Wis. Friends may call at the chapel from 2 to 9 pm Tuesday. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of arrangements.
