Newell Hobbs, son of Rev. and Mrs. D.O. Hobbs of Clay City, was killed about 7 p.m. Sunday when he fell from a railroad trestle near Centralia. He and his companion, Louis Delonshaw, were trying to board a train for Decatur.
The boy's father is pastor of the Methodist church South in Clay City. The family moved here from Assumption about a year ago. Besides his parents, the boy leaves a brother and six sisters.
