Bernice Bucciarelli Bartolomucci, 100, born Jan. 6, 1905, in Caramanica, Italy, passed away April 8, 2005. Preceded in death by her parents, Domenico and Angelantonia Bucciarelli; husband, Pete Bartolomucci; and son, Edward Bartolomucci. Survived by her children, Pete (Althea) Bartolo, Marie (Joe) Marcovecchio, and Joseph Bartolomucci; brother, Domenick Bucciarelli; sister, Marguerite Ciavaglia; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; also preceded in death by her brothers, Joe, Jerry, Carl and Frank; sister, Rose Bucciarelli; granddaughter, Michelle Bartolomucci; and great-grandsons, Gregory Nardini and Nathan Marcovecchio. Bernice married Pete Bartolomucci on June 19, 1925. Otherwise known as "Beans, Speedy and or Grandma Grape," she enjoyed her grandchildren and was an excellent cook. Her hobbies consisted of sewing, crocheting, gardening and fishing. She was determined to live to be 100 years old and according to her she accomplished this by working hard, growing her own food and not eating out. Bernice was a member of the National Mushroom Club and enjoyed many mushroom hunting adventures. At her request, there will be no viewing. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Thursday, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.
