She was born in Buncombe County and was the daughter of Amos Johnson of Arden and the late Lena Ingle. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Casell and Bessie Underwood Johnson and maternal grandparents, Floyd and Mary Ann Ingle.
She was a former student at Valley Springs Middle School and currently a sophomore at Buncombe County Early College. She was a member of the Words of Life Tabernacle Church in Arden.
In addition to her father, she is survived by a brother, Dustin Payne of Kansas; two sisters, JaLisa Harper of Asheville and Lapisha Morrisey of Clinton, NC; four uncles, Casell Johnson, Jr. of New York, NY, Elton Johnson of Arden, Gary and Ricky Ingle both of Asheville; longtime family friends, Karen Harper of Asheville and Carolyn Smith of Arden.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday at the Words of Life Tabernacle on Glen Bridge Rd. with Rev. Carl Bishop and youth pastor Rev. Scott Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Friday prior to the service at the church.
