Pvt. Cline, who was twenty-six years of age at the time of his death, entered the service in March of 1944. He trained with the infantry at Camp Wolters, Texas, before he left the states to serve overseas in the latter part of August. Before he reached Germany, he was stationed in Belgium, France and Scotland.

An Infantryman, Pvt. Cline was Killed in Action near Grosshau, Germany during the battle of Huertgen Forest.

Cline attended Webster School, and was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad before his induction. On February 8, 1942, he married Theresa Kasino, and they had one son, Kenneth Arnold, two years old.

Besides his parents, wife and child, Pvt. Cline is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lillian Hand, living in New Jersey; three brothers, George, serving overseas, Leo, living in Maryville, and Rozelle, of Minnesota.
