Obituary-William C. Alexander, 56, 7698 Hamilton-Richmond Road, Fairhaven, died Thursday afternoon at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati after a brief illness.
He was born in Estill County, Ky. and had lived all his life in the Oxford area before moving to Fairhaven in 1948. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and had been employed at Miami University for 31 years until his retirement in 1978.
Surviving are his widow, Clarice Whiteman Alexander; two daughters, Betty Richards and Nancy Alexander, both of Oxford; three sons, Robert W. Alexander, Paul J. Alexander and John A. Alexander, all of Fairhaven; five grandchildren.
Other survivors include one brother, James Alexander of Liberty, Ind.; one sister, Lillie Mae Sage of Kettering; two step-brothers, Harold Arnold, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Charles Arnold of Hamilton; and two step-sisters, Betty Widau of Bath, Ind., and Leona Huber of Indianapolis, Ind.
Services were Monday at the Marshall-Smith Funeral Home, Oxford, with the Rev. Larry Poling officiating. Burial was in Butler County Memorial Park.
