Wayne Leroy was the fourth child born to Lee Roy Brewington and Irene Edna Gaddis Brewington. Wayne was twice married. He first married Kathryn Naomi Lephart on 22 March 1930 and the couple had two children, namely, Richard Duane and Robert Lee. Wayne was widowed by the death of Kathryn in 1935. He later married Elma Elizabeth Kamula in May 1938 but had no more children.
