William R. Robinson Jr., of Las Vegas, passed away at home Nov. 20, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Jan 7. 1944, in Catlettsburg, Ky., the son of William Robinson and Addie Stafford.
After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Japan. He lived much of his life in Fort Worth, Texas, where he was in the retail fur business. In his spare time, he was an avid drag-car racer.
Bill moved to Las Vegas in 1994. His hobbies included poker and golf. He had a true love of the desert.
He leaves behind his devoted partner in life, Su Lee; son, Eric of Fort Worth; step-daughter Kristen Faubion of Fort Worth; and two sisters, Barbara Schaney of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Lynn Sininger of Grants Pass, Ore.
A memorial service will be at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Boulder City.
