"Skip" was diagnosed during the winter of 2011 (Feb or Mar) with stage 4 colon cancer which had spread to his liver and lungs. They gave him 6 months to live if he refused chemo. He bravely took it on and between chemo and cancer removal from his colon and liver; we got to have him for another year. Directly after each chemo session and operation he immediately went back to work (the same day of release from the hospital). He refused to be bed ridden.
"Skip" was an amazing man. He let nothing get in the way of his goals. He was a great influence and mentor for not only his children but all who knew him. Skip is a hero.
