Marlene Howard Manns, 69, of Owenton passed away on Friday morning at her residence. she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Virgie Johnson Howard. She was the wife of Cornelius Manns of Owenton. She is also survived by her son, a daughter, step-son step-daughter and three brothers; Harold (Nancy) Howard of Versailles, IN., Kenneth (Arletta) Howard of Owenton and Don (Vonda) Howard of Owenton. 3 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild. also surviving is an aunt; Ruth Clifton and several nieces and nephews.
Marlene was a great outdoor person and loved her animals. She was an avid horse woman riding very often with friends. She also raised several different breeds of goats.
She had the sweetest smile and on her death bed being very ill and sedated recalled incidents with her cousin that had happened 55 years before.
