Later on p73 (1907 Ogden Fam Hist book), we are told that son, David Ogden62 and wife Anne are buried in _____ Morristown, NJ and learn the names of their 7 children. But I phoned the Presby Cem in Morristown who kindly explained that they do not have his grave; also phoned Evergreen Cem, Morristown who said their cem didnt open until 1855, and that they could not have David Ogden's 1777 burial; so where is this couple buried? Also checked online version of book, History of the First Presbyterian Church, Morristown, N.J.: The combined registers, 1742-1891, where yes David and Anne Burwell Ogden are listed, p173-74. We learn that ___ Ogden graves are also within the 2 cemeteries known as ? "St. Peter´s Episcopal Church, South Street at Miller Road Rear View - Old Cemetery". Whether these date only after 1827 is unknown.[http://www.morristown-nj.org/history_cont.html].

Thomas Ogden's parents are said to be David3 Ogden (1639/1691)[fagr 50973911] and his wife, Elizabeth (Swaine) Ward [fagr 50973912]. David3 is to be son of John, The Pilgrim.

The origins of this John Ogden, The Pilgrim line have been advanced significantly through Jack Harpster's extensive research. The online excerpt of his 2006 book notes alternative origins for various candidates named John Ogden including ones from Rochdale/Middleton and Hollins, Oldham, both in Lancashire ENG; Chelmsford Parish, Essex ENG; Hampshire ENG. He posted that he hired Mrs Kay Priestley, Portsmouth c2004 to conduct onsite ENG research (predating emigration). Jack laments the forgeries by Gustave Anjou (1863/1942) which complicated pre-c1640s data. I hope more Ogden men will test YDNA.
