Coleman Cleo "Curley" Summers was born to Joe Summers and an unknown mother in Cherokee City, Oklahoma. He married Louise G. Baldridge on July 9, 1945. They divorced, and he married Isabelle Amore. In 1949 they welcomed a daughter, Karen, then divorced. He met Aara Aldean "Dean" Dudley and they were married on August 5, 1974, in Wagoner, Oklahoma. He and Dean had no children, but he helped raise her five children to adulthood. Their union ended with her death in October of 1987. He had other wives and children, but their names are unknown to me. He was married more than three times, with an unknown number of children, but at least one girl and one more boy.
He was a well known upholstery man in the area, with several large companies as clients, as well as walk-in trade. He, and his son, Joe Summers, operated out of a shop at the back of his home in Broken Arrow.
He also owned and operated Curley's Taxi around Broken Arrow for several years, until he sold it to his step-daughter, Cheryl Moore and her husband.
He met his last wife, June Elizabeth Carpenter Raney, soon after they both lost their spouses, and a firm friendship was established. He married June on September 22, 1989, in Tahlaquah, Oklahoma. June was a retired nurse who carried him though his battle with diabetes and pancreatic cancer, and was there for him till the end.
He served his country in the armed forces, and spent several years working as a merchant marine and truck driver.
Services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, 19 Oct 1989, in the Christian Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Maclaine Dunlap officiating. Interment was in the Garden of the Last Supper in Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow. He rests at the side of his sixth wife, Aldean, and his mother Mayme Myers, who share a common grave.

Happy Angel Day a little early. Miss you and think of you often. Your daughter got in touch with me, and I'm going to send her some pictures so she can get to know you a little. Wish you were here to see her yourself. Rest in peace.|
