CLAUDE LESLIE AGNEW, son of Giles Arthur and Edna Lilly Wilson Agnew, was born on 3 July 1901. He completed the eighth grade and worked as a wire insulator for a cable and wire works company.
Rev. J.R. Pernell of Dallas, PA married Claude Leslie Agnew and Harriet "Zelma" Krieger, daughter of David "Henry" and Mary "Alice" Thomas Krieger of Shickshinny, Luzerne, Pennsylvania on 8 September 1919. Harriet "Zelma" Krieger was born on 27 Dec 1900 in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania.
Claude Leslie and Harriet "Zelma" Krieger Agnew had three sons:

Claude Leslie Agnew remarried to Laura Alberta Welch Weaver, daughter of Arthur G. and Charlotte Richards Welch of Parsons, on 27 April 1953 by Rev. James Iley - Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Laura Alberta Welch Weaver was born in 1915 in Parsons, Pennsylvania. Laura died in July 1956, aged 39 years. Laura Alberta Welch Weaver Agnew had sons Robert E. Weaver, Harry J. Weaver and a daughter Wilma May Weaver with her first husband Oram W. Weaver, who preceded her in death on 20 August 1951.
