BOGATA? James Aubrey Cooper, 88 of Tyler, formerly of Bogata died Monday, Dec.12,2005, in Tyler.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec.15, at
Bogata Church of Christ with Benny Cogburn officiating.
Burial follows in Bogata Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He was born Jan.19,1917, near Johntown. His parents were James Oscar and Mattie Smith Cooper. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army retiring after six years of service. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service of El Paso. He married Mary Thornton Morgan Cooper in Sept.1949 in Clarksville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Cooper on May 3, 2001, his son David Phillip Morgan in 2002; four sisters, Faye Faulkenburg, Lillie Watts, Jaurita Weisenflugh, Rebecca Wright and his three brothers, Boots Cooper, Loy Lester Cooper and Ray Cooper.

His survivors include his son Leonard Ray Morgan of Kilgore, his three daughters, Marilyn McFatridge of Tyler, Claudia Vickers of Paris, Robbie Bankhead of Monahans, his sister Robbie Jean McLaughlin and husband B.J.; his 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
