Never finished Greeley high school but was naturally intelligent; wrote poems; played piano by ear;loved to sing, harmonize and dance; taught dancing; enjoyed tap and belly dancing too; owner, receptionist, business partner and wife of Charles Boyd Slough,'Charles Hairstyist Beauty Salon'in San Diego, she was hair model of Chod's in competition shows; Office manager of Barney & Barney Insurance Agency & Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., San Diego; V-Pres. of San Diego Business Women's Association 1963; President of San Diego Chapter Life Insurance Cashiers Association of the U.S. & Canada. President of council of Women's Service & Business Clubs of San Diego, California; She took pride & loved her many homes and Hawaiian Condos, remodeling & decorating all of them with a natural talented flare; could take out a wall or fix a broken toaster; took on the banks to get her own 'credit card' and 'home loan' as a single mother in the late 1950's. A woman before her time with many natural acquired talents. Drove with a lead foot; enjoyed fancy shoes and being a lady.
