WaKenney -- Mrs. Barbara Denning, 86, WaKeeney, died Thursday at the Trego County Hospital.

Before moving to WaKeeney she lived on a farm northeast of Ogallah. She was an honorary member of the Altar Society.

Survivors include eight sons, Joseph and Marcellus, Hill City, Edmund, WaKeeney, Wilfred, Los Angeles, Calif., Martin, Shawnee, Louis, Tooele, Utah, Leonard, Colorado Springs, Colo., Francis, Blackwell, Okla.; three daughters, Evaline Dennings, Denver, Mrs. Myron (Henrietta) Littlechild, Scott City, Mrs. Duane (Elaine) Newcomer, WaKeeney; five brothers, John M., Mike and Anselm Windholz, all of Victoria, Peter and Isidore Windholz, Hays; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Quint and Mrs. Mary Kuhn, both of Victoria, Mrs. Josephine Robben, Walker; 38 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Church, WaKeeney. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ellis. A rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Hendricks Chapel, WaKeeney. Friends may call at Hendricks from 2 until 9 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
