David Flashenberg was the youngest son of Benjamin and Tillie Flashenberg. He was born on August 24, 1916.
David spent his early childhood years in the Yorkville section of the city before the family moved to Midwood, Brooklyn sometime in the mid-1920s. In the late 1930s-early 1940s he worked as a Superintendent of a New York City department store. He then purchased his own Medallion taxicab and worked as a driver.
He suffered from diabetes and passed away at the Midwood Brooklyn home he shared with his parents.
Services were held at Community Chapels on Fort Hamilton Parkway in the Boro Park section of Brooklyn on January 21, 1948. Right after the service, David was interred in the plot his family purchased through the Rosenbaum Society.
David's siblings were:
Isidor Flashenberg (a/k/a Irving Flashenberg after 1930; Irving Kennedy sometime after the 1940s and then Irving Flashenberg at the end of his life.)
Bella Flashenberg Arens (a/k/a Becky, Rebecca, Belle)
Bessie "Blanche" Flashenberg Torregrossa
