Leon W. Bergeron, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, (age 76) passed away on June 27, 2012. He was born November 23, 1935, to Victor Bergeron, Sr., and Wilma Beatrice Thomasson Bergeron.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Anna.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dorothy Richard Bergeron, son, Scotty L. Bergeron, and his wife, Carla, and two grandchildren, Kelsi Brooke Bergeron and Cole Tyler Bergeron of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by sons, Mark Wayne Bergeron and Daniel Carl Bergeron, his sister, Victoria Meares, a brother, Victor Bergeron, Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Leon was employed by Copolymer for 38 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed LSU sports, cooking and spending time at the family's camp at Toledo Bend. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Special thanks to his wonderful doctors: Deumite, Taylor, Acosta, Rolfsen and Mullins. Special thanks also to the crew of nurses on the 4th floor who tended him, and to Miss Patsy and Miss Sherie for their kindness.
Following his wishes, Leon's body was donated. There will be no formal funeral services. A memorial service is pending.
