child of George Trischman, Post Wheelwright
Margaret Trischman slashed the throat of her 5-year old son, Joseph, at their home at Fort Yellowstone, killing him.
She attempted to pursue her other children with the intent of doing likewise to them. She was judged mentally insane and was put on a train to a government home in Washington, DC.
She managed to jump off the train and was never seen again. One of her surviving sons, Harry Trischman, went on to become one of the park's ranger, and Trischman's Knob was named after him.
Another child, Anna Kathren Trischman, was born July 18, 1884 in Montana to George and Margaret Gleason Trischman.
