Joseph Clarence Stewart, III
Birth: Aug. 26, 1926, USA
Death: Jan. 17, 1976
La Porte
La Porte County
Indiana, USA

Joseph Clarence married his sweetheart, Mary Ellen Strother, on August 2, 1952 in Michigan City, IN.

Joe served in the United States Army as a Private during World War II.

They were always the happiest of couples, working hard, and raising a family of three girls and one little boy, Ramona, Carolyn, Connie and Joey.

At their happy home in Hamlet, they extended their arms of love to welcome into their family a foster son, Jimmy Hunsche.

Joe and Mary were very active in their church, the First Baptist of Kingsbury. They were fine Christian people, setting the tone and the example for how they wanted their children to live.

Unfortunately, Joe developed cancer and passed away on January 17th, 1976, at the age of 50 years old.

You were NEVER a stranger in Joe's presence. Always welcomed with a strong firm handshake and a great big smile!

Hope you're taking good care of Aunt Mary up there, Uncle Joe! Been thinking about you today on this Memorial Weekend. Sure do miss you all. You would have been so very proud of all the kids and the grandkids, ours included. Rest in peace, Joe.
