The family moved to a home between Nampa and Meridian when he was in grade school. He graduated in 1955 from Meridian High School. His parents, Nemesio "Frank" and Victorina Barayasarra were Basque immigrants from Spain who were so proud to become naturalized citizens of the USA. On June 29, 1965 Frank married Eileen Bryant Lund and became "Dad" to her four small children. On May 26, 1966 Frank's only biological son Michael Louis was born. Eileen and all five children survive him. They are Julie Gayner and Janet Lund of Meridian, Eric (Aliisa) Lund of Rathdrum, ID, Thomas Lund and Michael Barayasarra of Nampa. He is also survived by ten wonderful grandchildren, brothers James (Janet) Barayasarra of Easton Maryland, and Michael D (Cathy) Barayasarra of Meridian, four nieces, including Victorina (Lou) Murgoitio of Boise, Christina(Vinnie) Baire of California, Lisa (Al) Whittaker of New York, and Mary Ann (Doug) Besser of Pennsylvania and several grand-niece and nephews.
