Elizabeth is the daughter of John Bilham (b. 1795) and Sarah Reynolds.

Married William Beauten Kemp, May 13, 1840, Bunwell, Norfolk, England.

Children born to William B. and Elizabeth B. Kemp: Eliza, Jane, Samuel, James, Sarah Ann, Heber, Willard Walter John, Arthur, Daniel and Alice Rosemary, and William who died October 1, 1863. Heber and Alice died while crossing the plains.

The Kemp family emigrated to the U.S. May 14, 1862, on the packet ship William Tapscott. Captain Bell, cleared with 807 L.D.S. Saints on board, under the direction of Church Leader, William Gibson. It arrived safely at New York on June 25, 1862, and in the Salt Lake Valley October 19, 1862.
