Raymond Dean "Ray" Coley
Birth: Jul. 25, 1963
Sanford
Lee County
North Carolina, USA
Death: Jan. 16, 2012
West Jordan
Salt Lake County
Utah, USA

My Son Ray was my second son. He was such a good baby. He was born in North Carolina so I always called him "My Little Tar Heel". He grew into such a wonderful man and was so good and helpful. When his grandmother Smith needed help he was there to help her. He found her the day she had her stroke and it about killed him. He had such a tender loving heart. After my husband died, he called me every single night to make sure I had made it home from work and I was ok. Oh how I miss those nightly calls. He loved antiques and collectibles and it was one of the things that we loved doing together on the weekend. And when the antique show would come to town, we would go spend several hours seeing what treasures it held. Then we would go out to lunch together. It has been hard for me to go to these shows without him. Whenever I had things that needed done on my barn, yard or house he was there to help. Then on December 4, 2011 I took him to the emergency room as he was in so much pain. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The doctor tried to get him to go to the cancer hospital and he told him no that he had a job he needed to finish the next day. (He was a drywaller). Well he finished the job and worked a few more days and could no longer do it. He only lived 6 weeks and 1 day when this dreaded disease took him away from his family.
It is hard to express the pain and panic of not getting an answer from someone you know is ill, and when you go to check on your loved one you find that they have left this worldly life. I Loved him so much and will never get over the pain and loss. Ray you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. We all love you so much. Love Mom and your family
UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN MY DEAR SWEET SON. Love Mom

DADDY I LOVE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH EVERY SINGLE DAY.
LOVE KAYLA

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MATTHEW JENKINS FOR SPONSORING MY SON'S MEMORIAL. BLESS YOU SIR

We are connected, my child and I,
By an invisible cord not seen by the eye.
It's not like the cord that connects us at birth.
This cord can't be seen by any on earth.
This cord does not work right from the start,
It binds us together, attached to my heart.
I know that it's there though no one can see,
This invisible cord, from my child to me.
The strength of this cord, It's hard to describe.
It can't be destroyed, It can't be denied.
It's stronger then any cord man could create.
It withstands the test, can hold any weight.
And though you are gone and you're not here with me.
The cord is still there, but no one can see.
It pulls at my heart, I am bruised, I am sore,
But this cord is my lifeline, as never before.
I'm thankful that God connects us this way,
A mother and child...Death can't take it away.
