Raymond, the eldest son of Arnold Ransford and Olive Winifred (Hersey) Higgins, was the wonderful, loving and caring husband of 54 years of Lillian Amber (McLaughlin) Higgins. Together they had four children: Sandra Goldie, Barry Clyde, Bonita Jeanne and Linda Louise Higgins. He was also a wonderful and loving grandfather and great grandfather to many, many children, as well as a wonderful uncle to many neices and nephews. He was a machinist by trade, but was also a very gifted carpenter and wood crafter. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was extremely active in the Hamilton, Massachusetts American Legion, serving in almost every capacity, including many years as the Commander. His favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening and watching the Green Bay Packers football team. He, along with his wife, Lillian, served as wonderful role models for their children and all of their families.
