He was a veteran of WWII having served as a Tech Sgt. with the 15th US Army Air Force in the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theaters. He was listed as missing in action and rescued by the French underground at one point in his military career. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, the Good Conduct Medal, the Air Medal with 4 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with Silver Battle Star.
He was active in church choirs and church activities having served on numerous committees and parish shows. He leaves his wife, Estelle (Payette) Bradley, of 63 years and he has living children.
