Services for Talmadge G. "Tal" Smallridge were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Fawcett-Oliver Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Boice officiating. Burial was in Boblett Cemetery in Vinton County. Pallbearers were Ralph Ferrell, William Lumsford, Virgil Davis,Jr., Willard Dillon, Glendon Rinehart and Dorsey Arledge. Music was furnished by Mrs. Vera Seymour and Mrs. Ottllee Leach.
Mr. Smallridge was born March 15, 1903 in Vinton County to the late Andrew J. and Eliza Salts Smallridge. On Aug. 5, 1923 he married Edna I. Burt who survives.
Also surviving are children; Harold B., Robert L. and Thomas L. Smallridge all of Chillicothe, and daughter Mrs. Ruth I. Johnson, South Salem. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean L. Smallridge.
Mr. Smallridge has been a heavy equipment operator most of his life, the past several years with Brewer Brewer & Sons, Chillicothe.
