Roy B. Green, age 83, of Fordyce, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, in the Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock. He was born September 26, 1920 in Dallas County.
He was a carpenter and member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church, American Legion and served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
In addition to his parents, Johnce Green and Delia Barnes Green; he was preceded in death by his wives, Martha Lane Sindle-Green-Rogers and Virginia Green and two brothers, Bobby Clyde Green and William "Bill" Green.
Survivors include three sons, Larry R. Green, Sr. (Mary) of Fordyce, Johnny Green (Joyce) of Wagoner, OK and Tommy Green (Bernie) of Sheridan; two sisters, Paulette Green-Harper and Lula Merle Green-Crowder, both of Fordyce; six grandchildren, Becky Green-Starnes, Wayne Green, Randy Green, Toni Green, Ronnie Green, and Terri Green; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Ebenezer Cemetery with Bobby Thornton officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
