Frank Leroy Sheel 70, 802 Lincoln Ave., died in LaJunta hospital Thursday, March 14, 1974. He was a retired locomotive engineer for the Santa Fe Railroad.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at Peacock-Frye Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Kenneth Caldwell, pastor of the Church of God, will officiate. LaJunta Elks Lodge No.701 will have graveide service at Fairview cemetery.

Mr. Sheel was born in Moline, Kansas, April 30, 1903. He attended schools in Moline. He married Wilma Wolverton on May 13, 1928. Mr. Sheel started with the Santa Fe Railroad around 1933. He retired in 1971.

Survivers include his widow, Wilma, of the home; three sons, Keith, Glenn and Kay Kenton, all living in Denver; two daughters, Mrs. Patsy Fontenot, Compton, Calif., Pamela Snyman, Denver; two brothers, Elmer and Emera, Moline, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Reka Stuckey, Hutchinson, Kansas.

Funeral for Frank L. Sheel of LaJunta was held Monday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at Peacock-Frye Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Kenneth Caldwell , pastor of the Church of God, officiated.

Burial was in Fairview cemetery. La Junta Elks Lodge No. 701 had charge of the concluding services.
Mr. Sheel died March 14.

Casketbearers were George Brul, Glenn Robinson, James Crane, Hudson Hyatt, Terry Spangler, Warren Bay.
Honorary Casketbearers were John Green, Lee Mills, Bill Sherman, William Conway, Lloyd Orr, William Kitts, Edgar Hayes.
