Church Point, Louisiana
Funeral services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Clarence Venable, 63, a retired farmer, who died at 11 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 1969 at the Lafayette General Hospital.

Burial wil be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Venable is survived by his widow, Nathalie Venable, Church Point; eight sons, Roosevelt Venable of Port Arthur, Texas, Ray Venable of Lafayette, Elmo, C. J. and Roy Venable of Church Point and Rodney, Alberta and Berlin Venable of Sunset; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Rosa Belle) of Lafayette, Mrs. Geston (Dottie Bell) Venable of Duson, and Mrs. John (Julia Ruth) Royer of Evangeline; four brothers, Albert, Joseph and David Venable of Church Point, and Gilbert Venable of Rayne; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Quibodeaux and Mrs. Raoul Menard both of Church Point, and Mrs. Emar Courville, of Garland, Texas; and 33 grandchildren.

Guidry's Funeral Home of Church Point, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
