Stephenie was a beautiful courageous young woman who was most assuredly loved by all who had the honor of knowing her. I feel like I know Stephenie from reading about her and her family in the book "End of the Spear" which was written by her father Steve Saint.
Stephenie was the last child and only daughter born to Steve Saint and Virginia Olson Saint. Her parents had already had three boys, her brothers, Shaun, Jamie & Jessie.
When her great aunt Rachell who lived with the Woadani Tribe in Ecuador died in 1994, Stephenie's parents at the request of the tribe moved their family to the Amazon Jungle. She had the pleasure and honor of living with the tribe for almost two years while she and her brother were of high school age.
Stephenie has had the experience of living in Africa and North America, the Andes Mountains and the Amazon. She put college on hold while she toured with the singing group YFC. She got home after a years absence for a joyous reunion with her family, and only nine hours later Stephenie suffered a brain hemorage and died.
