Feb 26, 1941 - Oct 25, 2012 WARSAW, NC Alvin Leroy Gregory, 71, of Warsaw, NC, was met by his Heavenly Father at the gates of Heaven Thursday, October 25, 2012. Mr. Gregory was born February 26, 1941, in Binger, OK to the late, Floyd & Ella Davis Gregory. Mr. Gregory was an Army Veteran and a member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church, where he dearly loved his church family. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the Warsaw United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery. Mr. Gregory is survived by his loving wife, Mary Catherine Gregory, of the home; son, Leon Gregory, of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Regina Gregory, of Texas; stepdaughters: Linda Overby and husband Johnny, of Godwin, NC; Vickie Kelly and husband Skip, of Norman, OK; and Denise Whitehouse and husband Brad, of San Tan Valley, AZ; grandchildren: Erin Gregory and Tasha Gregory; one great-granddaughter; 11 step-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by brothers: Calvin, Carl and Ralph Gregory; sisters: Betty Findley and Helen Long; stepsons, Joel Brown, Jr and Ronald Brown.
