Spencerian College, Louisville, KY (c.a.1942/3)-secretarial training-typing, dictation, etc.

Occupation-office secretary for companies or firms (not known at this time) during World War II. Bremalane typed 70 w.p.m and took dictation at 70 w.p.m. (she could still type in her late 50s).

Occupation-Homemaker-mother of Michael James, Ronald Dean, Larry Wayne, Richard Lynn, and Laura Faye. Housekeeper and cook extraordinaire!

Occupation-owner-Fryman's General Store (a.k.a. Ellery General Store), Ellery, IL, January, 1960-June, 1964. She ran the store alone from 1/1960 to 8/1961 until her husband retired from the U.S. Army. She cleaned and stocked the shelves, swept and mopped the floors, washed the windows, purchased merchandise and supplies, prepared the taxes, etc. If someone came to the back door needing to purchase groceries when the store was closed, they were never turned away. Also included was the raising of four boys, housecleaning, food preparation, laundry, etc. Mary Jones Vanblaricum, the daughter of Charles and Florence Jones, came down to help with homemaking when the burden of the work load became almost impossible to bare. How she managed to do it all is amazing!

Occupation-nurse's aide-Rest Haven Manor Nursing Home, Albion, IL, 1964-1974; and Meadow Wood Nursing Home, Grayville, IL, 1978-1984.

Member of: Baptist Church, Louisville, KY (baptized), Republican Party, PTA, and 4-H Club (founding leader of the Ellery Foxes, 1957- 1958, 1 year, awarded a gold leadship pin and wooden gavel).
