Services for Onnie D. Whittington, 48, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Goodell officiating and burial in Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mr. Whittington died in a local hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Livingston, he formerly resided in Clute. He had lived in Lufkin for nine years. He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church and the Epileptic Foundation.
Survivors: daughter, Ruth Phaneuf of Florida; and father, Onnie D. Whittington, Sr. of Lufkin.
Pallbearers: Bill Stewart, Carroll Louis Stewart, Ted Stewart, Ben Souders, Charles Ray Stewart and Tim Stewart.
