Geraldine Louise "Jerry" (Braden) Williams, 85, of Fulton, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Waltonville, Jefferson County, Illinois, a daughter of the late James Perry and Zula (Clampett) Braden. In November 1943 she was united in marriage to Thomas Stanley Williams in St. Louis. He preceeded her in death on July 28, 1977.

She met and married Thomas Stanley "Tommy" Williams in St. Louis where they were both working. Tommy was painting and was on a ladder, Jerry walked under the ladder and they met and married a short time later. They came to Fulton, Missouri, Tommy's hometown, and she lived there until her death.

She worked at the Spot Cafe for over 20 years working six days a week, nine hours a day. After she retired she worked for the Foster Grandparent Program for several years and enjoyed working with the children. The kids at the Daycare called her "Miss Jerry". She enjoyed children, garage sales, traveling (She visited forty-eight states and Canada),with her daughter, Sandi and Sam "Jr" Grabb, collecting dolls and collectables, cooking and especially baking pies which were the best in the world. Her crusts would melt in your mouth.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by four daughters, Marsha Lynn (Charles) Byrd, Patricia Louise (Paul) Atterberry, Sandra Lee (Larry) Estabrook, Pamela Sue Childers. a step-daughter Bonnie Williams Dews, eleven grandchildren, Aaron, Derek and Brandy Atterberry, Jimmy, Timmy Stewart, Tina (Stewart) "Jesse" Gallup, Shannon and Travis Pitt, Michelle "Shelly" (Byrd) Schroer, all of Fulton, Michael "Dusty (Amy) Byrd of Martinsburg and Lisa Byrd Simmons of Auxvasse four step-grandchildren, Amanda Ash, Summer Esterbrook, Cassie Estabrook and Jesse Estabrook, Twenty-nine Great-grandchildren. One great-great-granddaughter, Silver Gallup, a special friend of over 17 years Sam Grabb Jr and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Since her death several Great-Great-Grandchildren have been born, Starley, Shaylena, Serenity, Jeramyah and Jedahdiah Gallup, Ryan Nathanal and Logan Xzavier Atterberry, Olivia Katherine Coffelt and Lilly May Pitt. Step-great-grandchildren, Anthony and Isabella Simmons.

Proceeded in death by her husband Tommy, one granddaughter Misty DeeLynn Louise Atterberry, her parents and four brothers, Nelson Isom, Bernard Braden, Clifford Braden and Clarence Elmer Isom, four sisters, Myrl (Isom) Martin, Fern (Isom) Atkins , Gusty (Isom) Lackey and Eudene (Braden) Dees. She was the youngest and the last of the siblings. She was also preceeded in death by her best friend and garage sale buddy, Florence Page, who she missed very much.

She was so lonesome for her sisters and brothers, especially Eudean. She loved all of us so much and did not want to leave us. She fought as long as she could and was surrounded by her loved ones at the moment of her death. Mom tried so hard to wait for her daughter, Patty to get back from Florida, but she just couldn't. I know she is with the family that has gone on and will be there in Heaven to greet us when God calls us home. Mom saw her mother and father waiting for her before her death which was a confort to her. She was a great mother and worked hard to give us what we needed and wanted.
