Wendy A. Jansen, age 50, a resident of Macomb Township, died May 8, 2011 at her home. Beloved wife of Michael Cole. Loving stepmother to Kathleen (Katie), Patrick, and Kelly Cole. Dear sister of Beth Furest. Cherished daughter of David Jansen. She was predeceased by her mother, Barbara Jansen, and grandparents, Arthur and Ruth Jansen and Frederick and Edith Shatzer. Proud godmother of Jonathan Furest and Grace Hermann. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graduate of Oakland University and Detroit College of Law, she was a prominent attorney specializing in family law and was past president of the Macomb County Bar Association. An artist of great creativity and aficionado of books, she left an aura of beauty for her family and friends throughout her life. For those who knew her best, there is no greater loss possible. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 12 from 1 to 9 p.m. at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home, 46350 Romeo Plank Rd. (N of Hall Road), Macomb Township. A Celebration of Life Service will take place Friday, May 13 at 11 a.m.
