His son Jacob. . . was born in Somerset County, Pa., where he was reared to manhood, receiving a common-school education. There also he married, and settled for one year in Dale City, Pa., whence he removed at the expiration of this time to Wayne County, Ohio, where he secured a tract of land and carried on farming until coming to this State.
