|Birth: ||1808, Ireland|
Thomas J. Hanlon was a carpenter who immigrated to Boston from Ireland.
In addition to the children listed below, he was also the father of Hanora Hanlon Daly (Nora Daly) who married John Daly in Ireland. She apparently came to Boston with her husband and some of their children in 1883, the year her father died. The family can be seen in the 1900 Census living on Gates Street in Boston. This may be the clue our family needs to get "across the pond." Nora Hanlon and John Daly likely were married after civil registration began in 1864. In the 1900 US Census, they indicate that they had been married for 30 years which would put their marriage in 1870. Please contact rootsjockey with any further information on this family.
