Theresa was my best friend growing up. We went to school together until the last two years of High School when I moved away. We remained friends and talked often. When Theresa was diagnosed with Cancer her husband walked out on her saying he could not deal with it. They had one daughter. I moved down to the area to be closer to her and help out. Theresa went into remission for a while and things started looking up. Theresa had lost her own father when she was very young and she did not want to leave her daughter as he had done. When the Cancer came back she fought the best battle she could holding on as long as possible for her daughter, Wendy. But it was not to be and she passed away. Her daughter went to live with her father but he cut off all contact with Theresa's family & friends. Theresa's mother, Millie was even forced to go to court for Grandparents visitation. I recently found Theresa's daughter and Theresa would be proud. Her daughter is now married with kids of her own. I wish my friend could have lived to see her daughter grow up. But I know she is watching them from above.

Theresa & me use to have a ongoing joke between each other. We were so much alike but there was one difference she drank Pepsi & I Coke. When something would go wrong in my life she would say must be the Coke. I would do the same to her saying it must be the Pepsi. I wonder if they drink Coke or Pepsi in Heaven?
