Ingaborg was born in the Oslo area of Norway and immigrated by herself at the age of 16 to the USA. She married Andrew Midstokke on April 22, 1907 and they settled in North Dakota. In 1936 they moved to Hannaford and that remained her home for her life. She was a housewife and a mother who also had a great love for animals. Her children were Magnus Hans Midstokke, Arnold Midstokke and Bergetta Midstokke(Rich). Her husband Andrew died in 1945 and she later remarried and became known as Inga Palm. Inga always kept a small flock of chickens which she was known to bring into the house and put in the oven to warm up in the cold North Dakota winters. She was buried next to her husband Andrew in the Hannaford Cemetery.
