Vernon Ray Duncklee, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home on September 12, 2011.
He was born on August 26, 1926 in Fleece, North Dakota to the late Ernest C. and Vera E. (Robbins) Duncklee.
He was a farmer in North Dakota and later relocated to Naples, Florida where he became a Real Estate Broker until he retired. Vern lived in Naples for 33 years and eventually moved to Harriet, Arkansas to finish his retirement in the Ozarks. During his life, Vern was actively involved in the local Pentecostal church; during his years in Arkansas he attended and supported the ministries of both the Harriet and Marshall Assembly of God churches.
In addition to his parents, two older brothers, Delbert Duncklee of Indiatlantic, FL and Sherman Duncklee of Fairbanks, AK preceded Vern in death.
Vern is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ellen (Schulz) Duncklee; his children, Vicki Rosendahl of Yankeetown, FL, Timothy V. Duncklee of Columbia, TN, William S. Duncklee of Vero Beach, FL and Bonnie E. Freeh of Columbia, TN; his seven grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two brothers, Romanzo E. Duncklee of Emerado, ND and Allen Dale Duncklee of Drayton, ND; and three sisters, Mildred Flach of Drayton, ND, Telitha Bradseth of Bemiji, MN and Rita Ingersoll of Greenville, NC.
Friends are cordially invited to a Visitation service with the family from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas. The Funeral service will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Donnie Horton and Pastor Phillip Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Marshall Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Rick McCoy, John Pierce, Perry Chase, T.J. Tackett, James Patterson, Russell Dirst.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy George, Shannon Rogers and Randy Clark.
