Miller, Harry L.
Saline, MI

Age 64, died Monday, April 6, 1992 at his home. He was born on February 19, 1928 in Hamburg, MI, the son of Otto and Stella (Rogman) Lepps. His mother, Stella, died shortly after his birth and Harry was legally adopted by Frank and Anna (Lepps) Miller. He had been a Saline resident for most of his life. On February 4, 1956 in Clinton, MI, he married Catherine O'Reilly and she survives. Mr. Miller was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saline. He was a graduate of Saline High School and received his Bachelor of Science and Master's degrees from Eastern Michigan University. He had been a science teacher at the Garden City Public Schools for 30 years. Mr. Miller served on the Saline City Council for three terms. He was instrumental in starting the soccer programs, finding available fields to play on, and hiring the administrator of the recreation complex. He had also worked on the parks commission for many years. Mr. Miller belonged to the Saline Alumni Association and was also an Army veteran. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, William Miller and his wife Kimberly of Clinton, MI and Bernard Miller of Philadelphia, PA; two daughters, Ann Miller and her husband Ken Ankli of St. Joseph, MI and Mary Carol Miller and her husband Gary Pearce of Clinton, MI; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 9, 1992 at 11 a.m. from St. Andrew Catholic Church with Fr. Roger Prokop, Celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery in Clinton, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saline Recreation Complex Fund. Envelopes will be available at the ROBISON-BAHNMILLER FUNERAL HOME where friends may begin calling on Wednesday, April 8, 1992 between 1-9 p.m., with a Scripture Service to be prayed at 6:45 p.m.
