"November 9, 1935 - August 9, 2012

Marie Fiddler, beloved mother, baba, daughter and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2012.

She leaves behind the loves of her life: son Kurt Fiddler (Aileen), along with their children Nicole and Trent; daughter Etta Pace and her child Lindsey; and daughter Alva Shewchuk and her child Blake; as well as three siblings: brother Melvin Schmidtkamp and sisters Marlene Seier and Louise Chester. Marie was predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Schmidtkamp, and brother Henry Schmidtkamp.

A celebration of Marie's life will be held on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Service North Chapel 10129- Princess Elizabeth Avenue Edmonton, AB.

Much thanks to the staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for their exceptional kindness and compassion.

Donations may be made in lieu to the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation."
