Ed David Hathaway, 51, of Chillicothe, died June 18, 2007, unexpectedly. He was born March 7, 1956 in Alexandria, VA the son of John G. and Ethel Ann "Skip" Hathaway. On December 10, 1983 he married Cathy J. Hamm, who survives.

In addition to his wife and his mother, survivors include his children, Marisa (and her special Ethan Bevard) and David Hathaway; a sister, Sara (Art) Willis, of Los Gatos, CA; brothers Mark (Sherri), of Frankfort, and Michael, of Los Angeles; a special God-daughter, Jessica Hamm; his father-in-law, William D. Hamm; three brothers-in-law, John, Scott and Eric (Sarah) Hamm; several nieces and nephews; and a magnitude of very close friends. He was preceded in death by his father and his mother-in-law, Barbara M. Hamm.

He attended Bishop Flaget School and was a 1974 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He had worked for Krogers, and Job and Family Services. He later went to the Adena Gardens and Adena Mansion as a gardener, studied horticulture at the University of Virginia and trained at Monticello. He currently is employed by Detillion Landscaping. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and enjoyed the outdoors.
