Paris Marlow left NC in Nov 1840 next day after W H Harrison's election and arrived in MO one week before the election of James Buchanan in Oct 1856. Paris Marlow was born Wilkes Co NC 1812 and died Phelps Co 1865. He married Miss Susan Davis 1834 who was born Wilkes Co 1811 and died Phelps Co 1900. He was 44 years old when he settled in Phelps County on 160 acres several miles north of Beulah, MO near what is now known as Mathis Hollow.
After leaving Wilkes Co NC, Paris Marlow was in TN. While there he was convicted of malicious stabbing, and served two years in the Claibourn Penitentiary; May 17 1850 - April 15 1852.
