HADDOCK— Ruby Belle Martin Crawford, age 87, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Ron McClung officiating. Burial will follow at West View Cemetery.

Mrs. Crawford was a native of Oglethorpe County, lived in Sandersville before moving to Milledgeville in 1964, but had made her home in Haddock for the past several years. She was retired from Central State Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington and Essie Gertrude Smith Martin; her husband, Ambry Carton "Pete" Crawford; two daughters, Louise Helen Lord and Janice Elaine Lord Wade; five brothers, Otis Martin, Poney Martin, Quilla Martin, Will Henry Martin, and Hoyt Martin; two sisters, Ruth Brown and Georgia Mae Prosser. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Bobby Edward Lord of Tennille; a daughter, Mary Esther Lord Smith of Haddock; two sisters, Lucille Martin of McIntyre and Eunice Martin of Haddock; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
