John married Ruby Veronna Hassler on 12 Sep 1947 at Clayton, St Louis County, Missouri.
According to his obit, John died at his residence. It goes on to say that he was a retired self-employed construction worker, who had lived in Ellsinore for 14 years. It also notes that he was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Williamsville.
The obit lists the following survivors: his wife, Ruby; one son, James Foster of Marthsville, MO.; two daughters, Mildred Eads of St. Louis and Janell Middaugh of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Elmer McKee of Poplar Bluff; 11 grandchildrend; and 14 great-grandchildren.
John's obit says that his funeral services were at the Assembly of God Church in Williamsville, with burial at the Holiday Cemetery in Williamsville. McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore was in charge of arrangements.
