The daughter of Emery and Mildred (Wilmoth) Graham, she was the fifth of ten children, having four sisters and five brothers. She was born 12 Feb 1933 near Knightstown, Henry County, Indiana. Her family moved around a lot in her early years as Emery did farm work. She changed schools as many times as twice a year. Her first job was at Miller Yarlings Ice Cream Parlor in Rushville when she was 13 years old. Doris would've graduated from Rushville High School in 1951 but she lacked one credit of having enough to get her diploma. She married Robert Allen Lee, in Rushville, at the Main Street Christian Church, on the 2nd of June, 1951. They had five children; Pamela, Robert, Richard, Roger and Joella. In 1961 the family moved to Southern California and in 1965 moved back to Indiana. She was the piano player every Sunday, for years, at Fairview Christian Church. As a member of the church she also was a Sunday school teacher, Bible School teacher and Song leader. Genealogy was one of her passions and worked very hard at the family trees. Doris was a volunteer worker at the Rushville Public Library. She was born with Heart trouble and it hindered her for her entire life. On the 8th day of Jan, 2000, Doris passed away.
