Harry Arnold Francis
Birth: Feb. 21, 1878
Lamar County
Texas, USA
Death: Aug. 12, 1916
Elk City
Beckham County
Oklahoma, USA

Obit: Elk City, OK
The Elk City people were shocked last Saturday morning when they heard that Harry Francis was dying. He had been suffering for some time with a throat trouble, but he had kept at work until just a few days before and even then it was not thought he was seriously ill, and that a rest would be of benefit to him. But complications set in of a very fatal nature and Saturday evening at 7:30 pm he passed away.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church South, Sunday afternoon at 2 pm, Rev. J. J. Shaw officiating. A very large crowd attended, attesting tot he respect the deceased was held by our people. Many beautiful floral offerings were laid on the bier. The body was laid to rest in the Ural cemetery in the old neighborhood where he loved so many years , and where people gathered in numbers to bid farewell to their friend.

Pansy has meaning of "thoughtful recollection". May they all be sweet.
