Ann Traphagen was born March 10th 1860 at Frankfort, Ross County, Ohio. She was united in marriage to William H Smith on September 2nd 1878 at Paris, Illinois in Edgar County.
To this union was born nine children. Those who survive are: Mrs. Delbert Ingram, Scotland, Ill., Mrs. James Hutson, St. Bernice, Ind., Mrs. Louisa Aitken, San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Maude Chambers, at home., and Mrs. Tom Reeder, Lookeba, Oklahoma.
She passed away after an illness of two weeks at her home in Scotland at 9 a.m. Monday Feb. 5th 1940. She had been in poor health for the past three years.
Her husband and four children preceded her in death.
