Ann Traphagen was born March 10th 1860 at Frankfort, Ross County, Ohio. She was united in marriage to William H Smith on September 2nd 1878 at Paris, Illinois in Edgar County.
To this union was born nine children. Those who survive are: Mrs. Delbert Ingram, Scotland, Ill., Mrs. James Hutson, St. Bernice, Ind., Mrs. Louisa Aitken, San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Maude Chambers, at home., and Mrs. Tom Reeder, Lookeba, Oklahoma.
She passed away after an illness of two weeks at her home in Scotland at 9 a.m. Monday Feb. 5th 1940. She had been in poor health for the past three years.
Her husband and four children preceded her in death.

A precious one from us has gone. A voice we loved is still. A place is vacant in our home that never can be filled. God in his wisdome has recalled the boon his love has given. Although the body moulders here. Her soul is safe in heaven.
