Ann (Aldridge) Lynch

Ann Karleen Lynch, age 61, of Randolph, VA., passed from this life November 7, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Douglas, daughter, Krystal Bryant, her mother, Dorothy McIntosh of Richmond, brother, Charles F. Aldridge, of Toana, VA., sister, Nancy Wolchko of Norfolk, her grandchildren, Aiden James Bryant, and Kinley Jean Bryant. Funeral service 1PM on Saturday at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia, VA., with burial in Union Baptist Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home 6-8PM on Friday.

Ann was a very special lady. She cooked for the Wounded Warrior Project, for the soldiers going overseas and coming back from overseas. Took care of eight families all year long. She took them fresh vegetables, taught them how to cook, freeze and can. Ann was the Librarian for the Charlotte County Historical and Genealogical Society LLC. She volunteered many hours documenting family files and cemeteries. It was her idea and implemented "Honoring The Military." She organized and fundraised to construct the Ambassador David Bruce Memorial Garden at the Archives at Charlotte Court House. Ann would give her last penny and the shirt off her back if someone needed it and would be the first to lend a hand where ever it was needed. She was a professional chef and the owner of Nana's Delights. A friend to everyone, outstanding citizen, patriotic, devoted wife, mother and nana to her grandchildren. She loved everyone and I never heard her say a bad word about anyone.

Ann - It was an honor to call you friend. I wish you had come into my life sooner. I still have a great deal to learn and know you were a fine example that I could follow. I will keep close to my heart what you have taught me. We worked so well together. Me with my hot temper and you with your cool demeanor. We were as different as night and day but between the two us we got a great deal done. You loved your cowgirl boots. I loved my combat boots. You loved your pearls. I loved my stones. We had our differences but we respected that and we loved each other. I will never ever forget the best person I have ever known. I held your hand before, during and continue to hold your hand and I know God is holding the other one. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS!
